We need confirmation on the definition of the CMS EHR Certification number for QRDA3 submission. The definition on the link below is consistent with what we understood. The language in the QRDA3 guide I have below is a little confusing, “The CMS EHR Certification ID for the Certified Health IT product must be present for each Certified EHR that was the source for data in the QRDA-III report.”
There is only one CMS EHR Certification number for an EP attestation which represents all certified EHR solutions used for complete certification, correct?
If an EP attests to their functional measures in Q2 of 2014 and then they eSubmit their CQMs after the end of the year for Q4 of 2014. Do they use their original CMS EHR Certification number that was generated for functional attestation or do they need to re-generate based on updated CHPL #’s from vendors? Using modular certification and certifying our CQMs in waves, will generate a new CHPL number and changes during the year and since our clients will now have to enter that number before we generate their QRDA files, we need to confirm what is required.

"The ONC CHPL Product Number issued to your vendor for each certified technology is different than the CMS EHR Certification ID. Only a CMS EHR Certification ID obtained through the CHPL will be accepted at attestation."
