Rate aggregation for CMS 135/144 - 2019 QRDA III

      eCQMs with multiple population groups (containing a complete set of numerator, denominator, etc.), as described in the question, are not reported in aggregate. Stratifications, on the other hand, are reported both individually and in aggregate. A stratification takes a single, already-defined population and subdivides it. For example, see CMS159.

      I'm looking for confirmation on how we should be reporting the aggregated performance rate on QRDA III files for CMS 135 and CMS 144 for the 2019 reporting period.

       

      For these measures should we be putting separate measure outcome counts for each population and then one combined performance rate?

          • Supplemental counts

      • Aggregated performance rate for both populations

      We referenced the sample files for guidance but the measures on the 2019 sample file were not updated from the 2018 reporting period, so the rate aggregation doesn't apply with the previous versions of the measures. Thanks
