PfmYr 2024 IQR (reported to CMS during Jan-Mar of 2025) - QRDA-III PI Objective Measures per 2024-17021.pdf (govinfo.gov) (published 8/28/2024) and 2022-16472.pdf (govinfo.gov) (published 8/10/2022):
Assumption:
The progression of "active engagement" applies only to only the Objective "Public Health & Clinical Data Exchange" and its 6 objective measures excluding the AU and AR Surveillance objective measures which have their own timeline of option 1 to option 2.
Question:
Except for the AU and AR Surveillance objective measures which have their own timeline of option 1 to option 2, what performance year does the first mandatory progression from option 1 to option 2 active engagement begin for EH PI Objective "Public Health & Clinical Data Exchange" and its 6 objective measures, A, B, C or D?
A. Does CMS mean that when a CCN reported a PI objective measure for performance year 2023 as option 1, then that CCN must now be operating as option 2 on 1/1/2024?
OR
B. Does CMS mean that when a CCN reported a PI objective measure for performance year 2023 as option 1, then that CCN must now be operating as option 2 by 12/31/2024?
OR
C. Does CMS mean that when a CCN reported a PI objective measure for performance year 2023 as option 1, then that CCN can still be operating as option 1 starting on 1/1/2024, but must be operating as option 2 on 1/1/2025?
OR
D. Does CMS mean that when a CCN reported a PI objective measure for performance year 2023 as option 1, then that CCN can still be operating as option 1 starting on 1/1/2024, but must be operating as option 2 by 12/31/2025?
Once this question is answered for IQR - same question for QPP (MIPS).
