      Our health care organization is being referred to use a third- party application to generate a QRDA I file for CMS996 to submit to CMS and Joint Commission.

      OP-40 is the first Outpatient electronic Clinical Quality Measure that will be required for reporting beginning CY2024. Our organization is working with our EHR vendor to configure new specifications however our vendor is stating CMS does not require EHR vendors to certify OQR STEMI measure and to use a 3rd party application. Is that your understanding as well? How can organizations create a QRDA I file if EHR vendor does not provide a mechanism for OQR reporting.

       According to our EHR vendor. The vendor is not required to provide a certified product to meet CMS requirements for CMS 996 STEMI Outpatient Quality Reporting from the following statement § 170.315(c)(3):

      Can you please confirm this is a valid statement that prevents our EHR vendor from providing a certified code to allow QRDA reporting for OQR CMS996 STEMI reporting that is mandating for 2024{}

      Thank you.
