For issue #1, complete loss of expressivity and inability to state what could previously be stated in logic - so measure cannot be specified with this change.
For issue #2, significantly less rework when "Laboratory test, result" is removed by allowing editing rather than rewriting of logic with the QDM update.

      1. I understand the MAT will remove references to “Measurement end date” and “Measurement start date” and only use the "Measurement Period." I checked the MAT - there is no option for “starts before end of” so the change will not allow the logic I need for measure MUCD-39. I need to assure, in population 2, that a diagnosis occurred more than or equal to 120 days before the measurement period ends. I used > 120 days, “starts before end of” and “Measurement end date.” With the change, I would need to use > 120 days, "Starts before end of” and “Measurement Period.” However, “starts before end of” does not exist as an option. The only other option is to use “Ends concurrent with” but I don’t think that logic works since concurrent means at the same time so > 120 days would be inconsistent. Moreover, there is no clear indication in a medical record when a diagnosis ends - so we really need “Starts before end of” to work with “Measurement Period” in this case and “Starts before end of” does not exist. Can you suggest a solution? Otherwise, I cannot express the logic.
      2. This is more of a MAT transition issue - With the change to the QDM, “Laboratory test, result” will be removed and “Laboratory test, performed” is recommended in its place. I had preferred to use “Laboratory test, performed” in creating my logic for several measures but the attribute “result” was not available for “Laboratory test, performed” so I had to default to use “Laboratory test, result.” When the MAT is updated, can you provide a short period of transition, leaving “Laboratory test, result” in place to allow easier editing of the measures? E.g., in the current interface I can select edit and just change the timing element relatively easily rather then having to recreate the logic element. I will still need to select the attribute but that is far easier than having to recreate the logic statement and then re-order the entire set of logic.
