Medication, Order
Hello Floyd,
For medication orders without an end date, we may want to calculate an end date based on the number of days the supply should last at maximum dosing. So the number of tabs supplied divided by the quantity for max single administrative dose times the frequency. For example: authorDatetime 1/9/2019 Pain med 50 mg, I-II tabs, Q 6hr PRN QTY 48.
supply/(tabs per dose*frequency); 48/(2*4) end date in 6 days- 1/15/2019. Is this equivalent to supply/(daysSupplied)?
Thank you,
Angela
