We are happy to see this measure being considered. Yes, all measure components would be available in our new EPIC EHR. And we do believe that a 24-hour look back window for antihyperglycemics is appropriate to focus on preventable harm, vs. only hypo events. However, at the same time the denominator specification of only those pts. having received an antihyperglycemic medication does increase the burden of data collection and work effort from our analyst team as this is not something that is currently built within our glucometrics.
An additional exclusion that might be considered would be end-of-life (eg: comfort care/hospice) patients.

Question: In some portions of the measure description I see that it specifies "lab glucose" in other sections it only references "hypo < 40". I assume that we will consider all POCT BG values, that is how all of our glucometrics data is currently generated.
