    • Use of Antipsychotics in Older Adults in the Inpatient Hospital Setting

The measure does not exclude patients who receive anti-psychotics as an outpatient prior to hospitalization and are given even a single dose as an inpatient.

Certainly any patients in this category would not have their outpatient meds discontinued "cold turkey" when they were admitted to the hospital, whether the outpatient therapy was or wasn't given for a qualifying reason.

Ideally these patients would be excluded.
