PSA screening is a necessary test. The USPTF recommendations are not correct. As a urologist taking care of many pts with prostate cancer we have numerous examples of PSA screening being useful. There are also many examples of missed opportunities to save someone due to lack of screening. The PSA interpretation should be done by a urologist. It is not a simple test to follow. We do not want more pts with metastatic prostate cancer increasing in the coming years. That is not quality.
