    • 818 and 848
    • This is preventing us from being able to build test patients and test our measures.

We are trying to build test patients in BONNIE, but the following value sets are not appearing:
      • valueset "Most or Moderately Effective Contraceptive Methods" using "2.16.840.1.113762.1.4.1166.47, version 20180411"
      • valueset "Not at risk for unintended pregnancy" using "2.16.840.1.113762.1.4.1166.48, version 20180411"
      • valueset "Long Acting Reversible Contraceptive (LARC) Methods" using "2.16.840.1.113762.1.4.1166.46, version 20180411"

[MADIE-451] Value Sets Not Appearing in BONNIE

Thank you so much, Lizzie! This is really helpful!

          Hi Brittni,

The value sets you listed loaded without issue and you can see them on the measure page below the logic in the Terminology section.

They are not showing up as elements that can be dragged onto the patient because they have not been mapped to QDM elements, which you can see in the human readable:

The human readable shows the value sets in the terminology section but does not show them in the Data Criteria section.

To map to a QDM element, there needs to be a QDM data element within a “retrieve” expression with a filter checking that the code is within the valueset. For example:

          define “Numerator”:
exists ( [“Intervention, Order”:“Most or Moderately Effective Contraceptive Methods”] )

Here, "Intervention, Order" is the QDM element. This is what is missing in the retrieve statements using the value sets you referenced.

We suggest you work with the MAT resources and help desk for further help adding the QDM data element to your measure.

          Thank you,
          Bonnie Team

          Hi Chris,

I am not seeing an error in BONNIE, but I cannot select any contraceptive methods when I am building my test patients. I only have one procedure to choose from, which is live birth delivery.

Can you see this screen shot?

          Thank you!

          Hi Brittni,

We are still trying to understand the issue. It appears your measures are loaded with those value sets present.

Did you see an error dialog that stated “VSAC value sets could not be loaded.” when uploading your measure? If not, could you attach a screen shot with what you are seeing?
