Issue – Measure does not include logic that appropriately constrains the denominator exclusion to the specific qualifying encounter. If a patient has multiple admissions during the measurement period, then the results of that first denominator exclusion are carried forward to all subsequent inpatient hospitalization encounters for the patient. This would lead to incorrect measure performance rates.
