Similarly to issue CYPRESS-706 (regarding Synonymous Data criteria), the value set 2.16.840.1.11388.3.3.526.3.1254 for Immunization Administered Influenza Vaccine only includes CVX codes. Also, tests for the value set for Procedure Performed Influenza Vaccination 2.16.840.1.113883.3.526.3.4.02 include both SNOMED and CPT codes.
Cypress is asking that the CVX code associated with OID 1254 be recorded alongside the Not Done: Medical Reason (2.16.840.1.113883.3.526.3.1007), and that we enter the SNOMED/CPT for OID 402 with Medical Reason: Not Performed.
Our system does not allow the CVX 'Administered' Vaccine to be selected with a Not Done reason. Administering the CVX Vaccine is done through an administration screen or through a historical instance tracker. In these places, we are unable to associate additional OIDs (such as the Not Done reason). We ask our customers to use the SNOMED/CPT for the vaccination procedure alongside a Not Performed reason. We are able to meet the Denominator Exception in numerous ways by not using the CVX code and a reason not done code together.
Do we need to offer all of the possible options even when they are synonymous? Here is what the specification says, as you can see they are very similar.
