We’re working on Exception 2 for CMS52v5, see attached patient XML.

The test deck shows us that this patient should be in the denominator and the numerator for criteria 2. We believe the patient falls into exception 2.

Patient has 2 lab tests for Cd4+:

• May 12, 2015 with result of 200 cells/mm3
• August 8, 2015 with result of 600 cells/mm3

The Denominator exceptions for criteria 2 reads:
Denominator Exceptions = Union of:

• "Laboratory Test, Performed: CD4+ Count (result >= 500 per mm3)" < 3 month(s) ends after end of Occurrence A of $CD4count

Occurrence A of CD4 count would be May 12, 2015.

The next occurrence of CD4 count would be August 8, 2015 which happens within 3 months of Occurrence A and it does have a result >= 500 cells/mm3.

Shouldn’t this patient be counted as an exception?
