The standard for coding smoking status for the EHR uses these codes:
      Standards Criteria
      § 170.207(h) Smoking Status
Smoking status must be coded in one of the following SNOMED
      CT® codes:
      (1) Current every day smoker. 449868002
      (2) Current some day smoker. 428041000124106
      (3) Former smoker. 8517006
      (4) Never smoker. 266919005
      (5) Smoker, current status unknown. 77176002
      (6) Unknown if ever smoked. 266927001
      (7) Heavy tobacco smoker. 428071000124103
      (8) Light tobacco smoker. 428061000124105

The code of "Current some day smoker" is not found in Tobacco User valueset 2.16.840.1.113883.3.526.3.1170. Indicating that someone is a "current some day smoker" causes Cypress to report that "428041000124106 cannot be found in valueset 2.16.840.1.113883.3.526.3.1170". Cypress is correct but what are we supposed to do? Convert all "some day smokers" into "light tobacco smoker" for the CQM reporting?
Any way to update the valueset to include all the required codes for the EHR meaningful use?
