Question
We are finding attached patient Roger Soto (template-B SUD 1 BH Adult) in the denominator for CMS137v12, however Cypress has this patient not in the denominator. Reviewing the Logic Highlighting available we are both finding "First SUD Episode During Measurement Period" however Cypress is finding 'exists "History of SUD Diagnosis or Treatment"' removing the patient from the denominator.
We find 2 possible SUD Episodes during Measurement period:
Encounter 1 - SNOMEDCT 4525004 on 9/14/2024 (8:00 - 9:00) with SUD diagnosis SNOMEDCT 10028000 starting during the encounter on 9/14/2024 8:00. (encounter diagnosis)
Encounter 2 - CPT 99202 on 10/14/2024 (9:00 - 10:00) with SUD diagnosis ICD10CM F10/10 starting during the encounter on 10/14/2024 9:10.
When we take the first of these (9/14/2024) for the definition "First SUD Episode During Measurement Period", there are no activities in the 60 days prior that would remove this patient from the denominator.
Is there a reason the 9/14/2024 SNOMEDCT 4525004 would not meet the definition "First SUD Episode During Measurement Period"?
