I am testing CMS 646v2 by validating my EHR system for C1 certification by entering specified patient data. I found that 2 of these data criteria belong to 2 different Population criteria (Denominator Exclusion and Denominator Exception).
The Data Criteria QDM::MedicationAdministered (BCG Bacillus Calmette Guerin for Urology Care) belongs to Denominator Exception and QDM::MedicationActive(Chemotherapy for Advanced Cancer) belongs to Denominator Exclusion. For this patient both Denominator Exclusion and Denominator Exception are applied whereas normally, the patient comes in Exclusion first. Do we need to create two different patients to fulfill this requirement? Kindly advise.
