Please check out the "Maternal Reason SNOMED-CT Value Set (2.16.840.1.113883.3.117.1.7.1.84)" value set used in Exclusive Breast Feeding measure.

Note -
1) All these SNOMED codes are provisional
2) All these SNOMED codes are 15 charatcers. Meaning these are invalid SNOMED codes

Since SNOMED codes have a max length of 9, our system is not accpeting these invalid SNOMED codes, which I would think should be the expected behavior.

Please provide guidance on

• Whether CMS will provide updated SNOMED codes ASAP so we can use it in our system prior to certification
  -If CMS will not provide these codes, do we need our system to accept 1 characters for SNOMED codes? This of course does not make sense since SNOMED codes have a max length of 9.

There are at least 4 other value sets that have the exact same problem.
