we are a software provider for ophthalmic industry, but are not documenting surgical procedures which our optometrist do not perform. Using CMS142v5 with 2016 bundle, test C3 patient Eye_Adult B has some procedures our doctors do not document, eg: Cataract Surgery cpt-66982, Aspiration and Injection cpt-66030, Best Corrected Visual Acuity snomed-419775003

we feel these are more related to CSM133, which we will not be using in our testing. We will be testing with the following 11 CMS measures: 22v5, 50v5, 68v5, 69v5, 122v5, 131v5, 138v5, 142v5, 143v5, 165v5, 167v5

          Dave-

Correct me if I am wrong, but what it appears your saying is that "view patient" is the list of all elements from all measures that, that patient is assigned to, regardless if we are certifying that measure or not. If so, we will not use "view patient" as a reference.

          Robin-

The "view patient" page is only meant as an aid for debugging. During certification, this page is not accessible for use. The irrelevant measure information is not included in the QRDA Category I files that are provided for import into the EHR under certification.

          Dave-

There are surgical codes and specific SNOMED codes for 20/40 VAs and other procedure codes that are not part of the measures that we are certifying for when showing data in the "view patient" page. We do not understand why irrelevant measure information is mixed with measures we are certifying for. How would the user know for sure if that piece of information is part of the measure they are certifying for?

The "view patient" page shows all of the data in the patient's record. When the patient's QRDA file is exported from Cypress it will only include elements relevant to the measures under certification. A system is only responsible for entering the information related to the measures under certification.
