For the eCQM VTE-1 measure in the ICD-10 code table for VTE diagnoses, I noticed that it only list acute VTE codes. Can you please explain how current patients receiving Oral Factor Xa Inhibitor on day of or day after inpatient admission and have a prior history of VTE are identified? Are prior claims before the start date of the current encounter reviewed for one of the VTE diagnoses listed on the table? If so, does the system have the ability to review all payor claims? For eCQMs, will only Medicare be evaluated or will all payors be reflected in the VTE compliance rates for VTE-1?
