Question
Hello,
We need assistance to create an eGFR calculation using CQL. A new eGFR formula (race neutral) was recently released and is now approved for inclusion into the 'Hospital Harm - Acute Kidney Injury’ measure specification; replacing the lab resulted eGFR value, to normalize the eGFR calculation used across labs/hospitals.
The formula is gender specific. The female CKD-EPI formula (2021) is attached for review.
The MIN and MAX calculation uses whichever is lowest or highest value from within the parenthesis. For example, we would pull the SCr result, divide by 0.7 and then determine which is lower, the result or 1 and then take the result and apply it to the eGFR equation.
We recognize this is a complex calculation and may need further discussion. However, we are on a very tight turnaround to determine feasibility of this concept to meet CMS’ timeline.
Could the team do a quick evaluation of this formula to see it’s feasibility in the MAT and testing in Bonnie by Nov 2nd?
Please see html for additional measure context.
Thank you,
AIR eCQM Team (previously IMPAQ)
