I need affirmation that if a patient was admitted as direct IP encounter,

      1. Vital signs (including weight) have to be charted either 24 hours prior to IP admission OR within 2 hours after the IP admission.
      2. Lab results have to be charted either 24 hours prior to the IP admission OR 24 hours after the IP admission.                                                                                                                   If a patient has values captured prior to admission, for example from ED, extract the first resulted vitals and lab test within 24 hours PRIOR to the start of the IP encounter till 24 hours after the IP encounter?                                                                                                  So, for both direct and non - direct IP admits, time period starts at 24 hours PRIOR to IP encounter?  For direct and non-direct IP admits, labs can be extracted up to 24 hours after IP admits?  The only difference is for direct IP admits VS can only extract up to 2 hours after IP admit?
