Bicarb Results Missing in HSR 2024 Reports

    • Missing Bicarb results occurred 10.5% in our HRS reports for the HWM measures. Would have failed submission if this were to occur in a mandatory reporting period.

    • Would appreciate an answer as to why the HSR report found 10.3% of our bicarbonate results missing.

      In reviewing our HSR reports, we found bicarbonate lab results 'missing'. However, when we reviewed our QRDA I files submitted to CMS, we can see were Carbon dioxide, total [Moles/volume] LOINC code 2026-3 was included. However, our results were in mm[Hg]. Is the Unit of Measurement why our results failed? 

      Can a conversion from mm[Hg] to mmol/L not be done for these results?
