Our hospitals submitted White Blood Cell (WBC) lab results with our voluntary hybrid submission. The results are not being counted for any of the encounters causing all of our hospitals to be non-compliant with the lab reporting portion of the measures. The WBC results were submitted with K/uL unit of measurement. Per the FAQ, hospitals can submit any valid unit of measurement and CMS will convert it. Is K/uL a valid unit of measurement for these measures? If so, why weren't our results counted? We submitted the same unit of measurement for platelets, and those results counted. We are nearing the submission deadline for 2023, and we are running out of time to react if we need to make a change in our EMR.
