A patient came into the ED 7/3/23 @ 1054. Not admitted as an inpatient to this facility. Transferred to another hospital within our system where he was admitted as an inpatient 7/4/23 @ 0817. When looking for his earliest labs and vitals within the 24 hours prior to admission, it pulls his labs and vitals from the first hospital. Do we include these as the patient was still seen in our organization, or do we treat this second hospitalization (first inpatient admission) as a direct admit?
