The latest Pre-Submission Validation Application (PSVA) tool, updated with the 2018 Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Quality Reporting Document Architecture (QRDA) Category I Schematrons and standards, is now available. The PSVA tool will require users to download this new version of PSVA. (Users will need to sign in to the Secure File Transfer [SFT] to acquire the new version of the PSVA tool.) When users open the PSVA tool, the application will run a check against the Schematron that is stored on the server. The PSVA tool will identify that a new Schematron is available and will prompt users to download the new Schematron to their workstation. Hospitals and their vendors that intend to voluntarily report QRDA Category I files for the Hybrid Hospital-Wide Readmission (HWR) measure are also able to utilize the PSVA tool to test their file format prior to submission of test and production files to the CMS data receiving system within the QualityNet Secure Portal.
