In reviewing the Hybrid HWR Measure data, we had two patients who fell out of the measure that were categorized in the Medicine Specialty Cohort and did not receive lab results. As a specialty surgical facility, all of our patients receive surgical care and should be categorized as Surgery/Gynecology. How does the logic determine who is categorized in which Specialty Cohort? I can't find anything in the logic of NQF 2879 eCQM 529 that would cohort patients into specialties. Is the determination made with a CPT code or some other code not specified?
