Can you explain the rationale behind the IPP use of parenthesis, inclusion of ‘admission datetime’ as a bullet, and the purpose of ‘during Measurement Period’?

According to the measure header, the measurement period is Jan 1- Dec 31. Since we are reporting data from Jan 1-June 30 is the following patient included in the IPP?
For example:

• Patient admitted June 20th
• Patient discharged July 3rd
• LOS < 365 days

Initial Population =
o AND: Age >= 65 year(s) at: "Measurement Period"
o AND: ("Occurrence A of Encounter, Performed: Acute care hospital Inpatient
Encounter" satisfies all:

• (length of stay < 365 day(s))
• (admission datetime) )
• during "Measurement Period"
