Good morning,
We are vetting our reporting for the HWR and HWM measures so we can perform a voluntary submission for 7/1/22 - 6/30/22. Our EHR vendor. Meditech, has provided wonderful reporting for these measures and we are able to slice and dice things to find where we might have breakdowns might be in testing patients. One thing we've noticed is that there are some duplicate values for some of the lab tests. The report only captures the first value for each lab test, etc. but we are seeing duplicate values for some of the tests, like glucose, bicarb, sodium, etc. We've found that the reason for this is because of cases where a patient may have a panel and an individual test all within the specified time period.
For example, a patient might have a glucose and a Point of Care glucose result. They also might have a hematocrit but also have a CBC which includes a hematocrit. Since each of those 4 tests would be mapped to individual LOINC codes, it makes sense that both results would show, but we can see that it's resulting in showing more than one value for each test in our QRDA's. Is that what is expected or do we need to have the reporting limited to only show the very first of each test?
Thanks!
Liz Bumgarner
