Beginning with reporting period 7/1/24, Medicare advantage will be included in the value sets for HWR and HWM.  Some hospitals do not collect the MBI for inpatients and only collect the Medicare Advantage policy number as a discrete field in their EHR.  

Can you please clarify if the Medicare Advantage policy number will be adequate for linking the CCDE files to the Claims files or if the MBI will be required for linking when the payer is Medicare Advantage?
