    • Reporting text values for labs will not assist in measure risk adjustment.

In the Hybrid QRDA 1 file we are seeing scenarios where patient's have Lab Values where the Value = "SEE COMMENT"  instead of a numeric value for that Lab value.  An example is Potassium, the value = "SEE COMMENT" instead of 3.7 or 4.1 etc...  In this situation the patient's blood sample hemolyzed and  and new potassium value was drawn and resulted 50 minutes later.

In the logic the QRDA 1 file is picking up the correct lab value based on the specifications timing.  However, since this value won't assist in risk adjustment is there anything we can do to exclude these types of values and only include values that are numeric - in this situation the next potassium value that resulted as expected?  Currently I do not see the logic indicates we can take the "next" value if it is available.

Update 7/18/22:  I've seen patients pull in Glucose values that are >500 mg/dL as well which wouldn't' necessarily be a numeric value.  How will values like these be taken into account?

Also, I have seen "comments" in the blood pressures taken as patient refused, but there are later blood pressures.  How would this be taken into account?
