In the Definition section of the MADiE html export, apostrophes and dashes are random characters. For example, in CMS 347, last paragraph, first line reads: 

Statin-Associated Muscle Symptoms (SAMS) – The 2018 ACC/AHA/MS Guideline (Grundy et al., 2019) includes the (export from MAT)

Statin-Associated Muscle Symptoms (SAMS) – The 2018 ACC/AHA/MS Guideline (Grundy et al., 2019) includes (export from MADiE)
