Introduction
This guide details the process for deploying the Direct Certificate Discovery Tool (DCDT, or the Tool) following the completion of the Configuration Guide. You also need to have completed the Source Build Guide or downloaded the WAR file.
Deployment
There are several methods to deploy WAR files in Tomcat. Their documentation covers the topic in detail.
Post-deployment configuration in the admin console
- Login to the admin console using the username "admin" and the password set previously in the Configuration Guide.
- Enter your domain name and the associated IP address and click the Set Instance Configuration button. This will generate certificates for all of the Discovery testcases and the trust anchor based on the domain name entered, which will be persisted in the embedded Derby database and start the DNS, LDAP, mail, and HTTP services. The status of the services will be updated on the admin console and any messages regarding the instance configuration status will be displayed. Once the instance configuration is set successfully, the Direct addresses for the Discovery testcases will be updated on the Discovery page and reflect the domain name entered.
Note: You can also download all of the Discovery testcase credentials associated with an already existing instance configuration by pressing the Download Instance Credentials button.
- If the domain name and/or IP address need to be changed, repeat step 2 or click the Remove Instance Configuration button and then repeat step 2. Upon pressing a button, a dialog box will be displayed to confirm your decision to either remove or set an instance configuration.
