Submitter Resolution Confirmed: Yes

 Description

When entering a new test case expected value I get a unexpected application error. If another organizational member enters that test case to enter the values they do not get an error. It does not happen with a specific test case as any new test case will give the error.

mashafa The MADiE 2.0.7 release on 11/12 should solve this issue.  Please try again and if appropriate, please set Submitter Resolution Confirmed to "Yes".

Hello Michelle,

The team has created an internal story to resolve the issue reported in this ticket. We are closing this ticket as deferred for future release. We will update the ticket when the resolution has been released in MADiE.

In the meantime, please continue to use the alternat order of steps you documented in an earlier comment as a workaround when you see this issue and let us know if you have instances where the workaround is also not successful. these are the steps you documented:

I just tested this and this works without error:

  1. click test cases tab
  2. Select edit for OCCURPass 1 Test case
  3. click expected/actual tab
  4. click IP expected box and enter IP expected as 1
  5. click MP expected box and enter MP expected value as 1 - once the number 1
  6. click run test. No errors

Thank you

Yes, I can export. It is just that I need it passing.

I can have another team member enter the values to preserve the test case.

Thank you

Hello,

I was able to export both QRDA and Excel files for this measure this morning-are you not able to export today? If the issue is that the test case is failing due to not having expected values added, you had originally reported you could not enter expected values for new test cases. As this is no longer a 'new' test case, are you able to enter expected values? If you need this test case to be passing for the logic review, could another team member enter the expected values to preserve the test case for the team to continue to look into the reported issue?

Thank you

Heather,

Can I delete the test case example that shows the error (OCCURPass 1 Test) as I need to export the test case file for logic review? Once exported I can put another test case in  and provide that URL.

Hello Chandra

Standard way I enter info
click test cases tab
Select edit for OCCURPass 1 Test case
click expected/actual tab
click run test
click IP expected box and enter IP expected as 1
click MP expected box and enter MP expected value as 1 - once the number 1 is entered error pops up.

I just tested this and this works without error:

click test cases tab
Select edit for OCCURPass 1 Test case
click expected/actual tab
click IP expected box and enter IP expected as 1
click MP expected box and enter MP expected value as 1 - once the number 1
click run test
No errors

Michelle,

Our team is continuing to research your reported issue. It is proving to be challenging since other users are not receiving the same error messages. Can you provide a little more detail of the exacts steps you are taking and when in those steps you receive the error message?

The type of detail the team would like to know, for example, are you editing Expected Values after or before running the test case? Does the error occur on 'Save' or while you are editing the Expected Values?

Any additional detail you are able to provide could be useful as the team evaluates your findings.

Michelle,

I appreciate you taking those steps and communicating your findings. I have provided this to the team to research further. The ticket will be updated as additional information becomes available.

Sincerely,

Hello,

After following all the steps listed above I still receive the same error. I've attached screenshots of the step through while using Edge and Chrome.  Only code 200 shows up. That is correct when My colleague goes in they are able to adjust the cases.

Hi Michelle,

Thank you for the screen shot. Are you able to send the URL(s) for the new test cases that you are adding where these errors are being thrown when you are adding expect values. And, to confirm, your colleague is able to add expected values in this same measure without receiving these errors?  Also, when you attempt to update the expected values, have you tried to perform the following steps to see if there is a status code present that might indicate more information about the error message. To do this, before trying to update the Expected Values, right click on the test case page and select 'Inspect', then advance to the 'Network' tab to see if anything other than a Status of 200 appears.

Finally, have you performed any troubleshooting steps like ending your MADiE session and logging back in, clearing your cache, using an alternative browser, or rebooting?

Thank you for the additional information.
