Description |
When looking at the HTML file for the test Cypress patient "STROKE_ADULT B" they have an entry in the "Communication From Patient To Providers" section that has a "Negation Reason" code of "105480006". The code "105480006" does not appear anywhere in the QRDA Cat 1 XML file for the patient "STROKE_ADULT B". The absence of this negation code causes this patient to not fall in the Numerator for measure CMS 107 v3 as expected, because the Numerator is looking for a "Communication: From Patient to Provider" element with a code from the "Written Information Given" value set and a negation code from the "Patient Refusal" value set. Attached are the HTML and QRDA Cat 1 files for the "STROKE_ADULT B" patient that were downloaded from a Cypress 2.5.1 website. |

This has been addressed with Cypress 2.6 |

Does this issue only affect the two patients listed above? Further, is it acceptable to edit these patient data files during certification? |

Thomas- Currently, Cypress does not include the reason template within the "Communication From Patient To Providers" template since it is not specified in the Implementation Guide. This template will be added to the Cypress generated Cat I files in the next release. In the mean time, the Negation Reason code can be entered manually from the HTML document. -Dave |
