 Description   

In the cypress demo environment, when I run this measure for the attached patient (Glen Pittman), I find that there is no "Treatment Initiation With Non Medication Intervention Dates" within 14 days of the "First SUD Episode During Measurement Period" (failing Numerator 1)

I find the "First SUD Episode During Measurement Period" on 09/14/2024 and the earliest numerator Intervention is on 10/14/2024. This is well beyond 14 days.

Could you clarify why this patient is expected to meet Numerator 1?

I see what's going on here. The QRDA file in question has a Condition element (code 29308-4) that starts on 2024/10/14. This is the element that is used in the logic to identify "First SUD Episode During Measurement Period."

However, the Emergency Department Visit on 2024/09/14 has an Encounter Diagnosis element (code 10028000). This is not captured as a Condition entry in the QRDA file and therefore is not being used in the calculation.

This is why Cypress is calculating the first SUD Episode is 2024/10/14 and not 09/14/2024.

In a future release, we will remove the Encounter Diagnosis from the Emergency Department Visit to avoid confusion.
