Solution: | Thank you for your inquiry regarding CMS124v13 (2025 Performance Period). This measure requires a cervical cytology or HPV test, represented using the QDM datatype "Laboratory Test, Performed" using any codes from the "HPV Test" (2.16.840.1.113883.3.464.1003.110.12.1059) or "Pap Test" (2.16.840.1.113883.3.464.1003.108.12.1017) value sets and requires a non-null test result using the QDM attribute "Result." A non-null result can be interpreted as a result that is present in the electronic record in which any entry is acceptable; no specific value or code is required. LOINC code 71432-9 is not included in the "HPV Test" value set because it is used to represent an order for the test, not an observation for the test result. Description |
CMS 124 HPV Test 71432-9 is not mapped or allowed in the value set for HPV. Our lab is utilizing LOINC code 71432-9 which appears to be a valid LOINC code but it is not in the HPV value set for this measure. Please advise if there is a specific reason this code is not included and if it is allowed or recommended to map to another LOINC in its place. Thank you |
