Solution: | Thank you for your question regarding CMS159v11: Depression Remission at Twelve Months. The most recent PHQ-9 score would be the one used for numerator compliance. In the example below, it would be the score from 3/27/2023. |

CMS0159v11
|
Impact: | Potentially could create either false positive or false negative numerator outcomes if wrong value is chosen for numerator outcome. |
Description |
Specification Definition states: "The most recent PHQ-9 score less than five obtained during this four month grace period (+/- 60 days) is deemed as remission." Does this mean we are looking for the "most recent" PHQ-9 with a score less than 5 OR are we looking for the most recently completed PHQ-9? For example: +/- 60 day window = 01/01/2023 to 04/01/2023 There are three PHQ-9 results: 03/27/2023 PHQ9 score = 6 02/14/2023 PHQ9 score = 3 01/12/2023 PHQ9 score = 8 Which of these would fulfill the intent of the measure and used to determine numerator compliance for this measure?
