Solution: 1. If your system doesn’t use the required terminologies, it is acceptable to map codes. When mapping codes, you need to maintain the clinical specificity.

2. The measure doesn’t specify how the data should be received as long as it comes from the EHR.

 Description

For measure CMS122, to be not counted in the numerator, requires a “Laboratory Test, Performed: HbA1c Laboratory Test”. The corresponding value set gives three LOINC Codes

Question 1:
We have some practices sending us HbA1C test result without LOINC code. Can we use such records for this measure though they are not specifying the associated LOINC code? Or can we consider only those records that has the above mentioned LOINC codes?

Question 2:
Is this measure expected to include results that came through lab electronic interface only? Or can it include flowsheet data too?
