My question is in regards to the conversion of Relevantdatetime to Relevant period as it pertains to Cardiac Pacer on CMS145.
As per https://oncprojectracking.healthit.gov/support/browse/QKI-2, if relevant period is required but not given, relevantdatetime should be converted to relevant period for templates that support both relevantdatetime and relevantperiod.
Exception criteria of CMS145 requires an active diagnosis of Atrioventricular Block during denom eligible encounter without Cardiac Pacer.
The requirement for cardiac pacer given is overlaps after, which requires start time prior to or during the encounter and an endtime after the encounter. During the conversion of relevantdatetime to relevant period, both the start and end time would be the same date/time.
In such scenarios, if relevantdate time is during the Denominator eligible encounter.
Should Cardiac Pacer be considered to overlap after when the enddate/time is during the encounter, or should exception credit be given based on the existence of an active diagnosis of Atrioventricular Block?
