      Hello

This question is about groups that are ACI exempt, or have applied for a hardship exemption. We also have clients who qualify for automatic reweighting of ACI as 75% of their Medicare services are in inpatient/on campus outpatient or ED.

For such group, is there any way to indicate in the QRDA submission that they are ACI exempt, or do we simply not submit ACI data for them? How will CMS verify that these TINs are indeed ACI exempt?

The concern our clients have is that their exempt status might be ignored, and that they might receive 0 instead of their ACI score being reweighted (if CMS finds no ACI submissions from them.)

      Thank you
