Logic affecting more than 1 eCQM
I generated Cypress test data for CMS22, "Screening for Hypertension". Cypress generated test data with what I believe are
2 errors. First, it included an encounter date of 20110510, which is out of the range that is supposed to be reported. Second, for
each encounter, it generated a CPT4 code of "99201", which is a code for a new patient visit. Obviously each visit is not a new patient visit, only one can be a new patient visit. Can we assume that the CPT4 codes are going to be largely ignored in either
the testing or the actual meaningful use? And should we be reporting dates of service (encounters) that are out of the range
that has been chosen?
Thank you.
