We are having some challenges with acquiring MBI for some Medicare Advantage  (MA) beneficiaries. Per our reg teams. the MBI is not typically displayed on MA insurance cards.  We use a third party to look up MBI when we a SSN is available. However, for whatever reason, we may not have a SSN on file to look up a current MBI.  The missing MBI is creating errors in when attempting to submit QRDA I files to HQR.  

What is the recommendation for managing this? We do not want to miss submission deadline for a very small percentage of MA patients missing MBI. Please advise.
