Thank you for your inquiry. I74, specifically I74.5, refers to embolism and thrombosis of the iliac artery, which does not meet the intent of the measure. T codes, including T82.868A, refer to thrombosis due to external devises, and not thrombus itself.

Why are the following two codes (ICD T82.868A and I74) not in the value set for VTE to originally exclude the case. (patient had claudication and had a principle diagnosis of thrombus within a stent graft body (iliac) and was placed on a heparin premix solution that wasn't in the anticoagulation value set (per your response to CQM 3529). Thank you.
