The Initial populations for eVTE-1 and eVTE-2 are identical. It appears that the eVTE-2 measure initial patient population should include only those patients with an ICU encounter during their admission. Will this be updated in the specifications?

You are correct that the Initial Population logic for VTE1 and VTE2 are the same. Where the measures differ is the Denominator and Denominator Exclusions. The denominator of VTE2 specifies that the measure is evaluating patients with an ICU admission or transfer. In VTE 1, the denominator exclusions remove ICU patients.
