EP 0028 not including home healthcare services CPT codes

      Thank you for your comment. PCPI measures generally have a typical set of evaluation/management codes primarily including basic office visit codes. Preventive codes were also included given the focus of this measure and the structure of the denominator statement requiring one preventive visit or two other visits. Additional codes were added based on stakeholder feedback and whether the focus of the measure was appropriate for them to be added.

       

       
      The PCPI has a standard process it follows to consider code additions. We will consider the addition of the Home Services CPT codes and should our clinical work group approve this request, we will incorporate these codes into the eMeasure during the next round of Annual Updates.

    • Not including some visits that may be clinically relevant

      EP 0028 doesn't include home health services CPT codes in the denominator criteria. These are CPT codes 99341-99350 and are used for other measures such as EP 0068, so we're wondering why there isn't alignment here.
