This question pertains to the hybrid measures, CMS 544 and CMS 829 for the submission due 10/1/2024 (data from 7/1/23-6/30/24). Will WBC and Platelets with unit of measure K/mcL be accepted or will they be considered missing by CMS? We submitted our QRDA files using K/mcL as the unit of measure. All files were accepted but we just became aware that only certain units of measure are accepted. However, in looking at other tickets I am seeing answers that hospitals can submit any unit of measure as long as it is specified in the submission and can easily be converted by CMS to a requested unit of measure. Is K/mcL is a unit that can be converted. We have not had issues with it on our previous two voluntary submissions.
